Bill-O is a light-hearted device for extinguishing the candles on a birthday cake.
Its power is activated automatically when it is picked up...
When the user blows into it, Bill-O's fan is activated for thirty seconds...
And when put back down, Bill-O's power is cut off again...
Bill-O communicates its function with visual cues to make the device more relaxing and intuitive to use. After all, a confusing or frustrating product does not contribute to emotional warmth.
In order to provide a relaxing and intuitive user experience, Bill-O demanded a payload of sensors and electronics. Sometimes technology can create a cold or sterile user experience - but if implemented properly, technology can support warm and cozy interactions.
