Volumes and Skin

This experiment began as a form study for the Caico Showerhead. With its affect on light in mind, a three-dimensional wireframe pattern was designed to create a beautiful shadow. The three-dimensional wireframe pattern acts as a skin that covers a superficial pattern on a volume. The relationship between the three- and two-dimensional patterns was observed. When the patterns were offset, additional interest was created.
